Sometimes the ordinary can capture the attention. While teaching marquetry at the Snow Farm New England Craft Program in Williamsburg Massachusetts, I noticed this whisk broom hanging on the wall and thought it would make a good learning moment to show my students how to move through the many steps of a marquetry project. What a lovely little handmade object a whisk broom is, and functional too!
